Cancellation, No-Show, and Booking Adjustment Policy
We understand that plans change. This policy exists to balance flexibility for families with fairness to the caregivers and professionals who reserve time specifically for your booking.
Bookings That Include Childcare
(including events or services bundled with childcare)
Because sitters commit to your booking in advance and often decline other work to be available:
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time receive a full refund.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, including no-shows, are non-refundable.
Example: If your childcare booking starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday, cancellations made after 8:00 AM on Friday are non-refundable.
Non-Childcare Bookings
(such as household support, errands, or organization, chores)
- Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance receive a full refund.
- Between 7 days and 24 hours before the scheduled start time: a fee of $50 or 50% of the total booking, whichever is greater.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, including no-shows, are non-refundable.
Hourly Bookings & Time Adjustments
For hourly services — including childcare, household support, and event or party planning — you are billed for the full duration originally booked. This ensures caregivers are compensated for the time they reserved for you.
- If your booking ends earlier than scheduled, the original booking duration still applies.
- If your booking runs longer than scheduled, additional time will be billed accordingly.
Example: If you book a sitter from 5:00–9:00 PM but return at 8:30 PM, the full four hours apply. If you return at 9:30 PM, the additional time is billed.
